Bel & Brio’s Private Dining Room

So here we are 2 weeks later, Hungry Diner is in Bel & Brio's private dining room "Corso Brio".

Sometimes the universe is just too good!

I was at a meeting here 2 weeks ago having a coffee at one of the high tables inside and this is where the journey began.

I must admit it was my first time here after being in Barangaroo many times, Bel & Brio has a great first impression, with the high ceiling, buzzing vibe of the fellow patrons, very switched on and trendy staff and an impressively stocked bar.

The venue itself is beautiful, you can sit inside or pull up a stump outside for a vino, beer, a quick bite or a full meal from the Italian influenced menu.

As I walked around the perimeter venue, I noticed there was a full market place that stocks fresh produce with pantry staples, an international wine cellar with over 1900 wines.

After our meeting inside, we were shown a private dining room on the way out that serves a degustation of Italian dishes and that was when I was hooked. I had to know!

So here we are 2 weeks later, Hungry diner is in Bel & Brio’s private dining room “Corso Brio” with restaurant manager Paul and sommelier Gabriel for a magical dinner.

I must give a huge shout out to Executive Chef Davide Incardona who has been in the game for over 16 years cooking his way through Europe and the last 5 years in Australia. Thanks, Chef!

Here is each dish.

Salmon Carpaccio

Raw salmon with capers / apple and soft fresh sea urchin.

Tuna

Seared ruby tuna / sesame seeds crust / shaved fennel / snow peas / marinated artichokes / citrus dressing / pistachio crumb

Homemade Spaghetti

Spanner crab / fresh tomato / herb flavoured charcoal bread crumb / chilli

Scampi

A delicious special, this was so yummy, a freshly homemade pasta with tomato and garlic.

Baked Zucchini

Buffalo ricotta and smoked eggplant mousse / parmesan crisps / aged balsamic vinegar / tomato pesto

Slow Roasted Lamb Shoulder

Sweet potato puree / balsamic baby onions / demi-glace sauce / crispy sage

Pistachio Tiramisu

Savoiardi biscuits / Sicilian pistachio infused in mascarpone cheese / fresh raspberries

Thank you for such a lovely and decadent meal. This is a standout venue in Barangaroo.
